I have encountered a few problems while using the Apple Macs so far.
Firstly, it is hard to deal with pictures that have been put on the page, especially when it comes to resizing them and moving them around. This is annoying, but hasn't got in my way too much yet, but it could potentially be a problem when the time comes for me to input all of my own pictures.
Secondly, it's quite difficult to get things from the Mac onto Blogger, which I need to do because I need to document what I am doing and how my newspaper is being made. I found this problem when I was trying to export my front page from InDesign to Blogger so I could talk about how I was making it. The problem is, the file is not in the right format so Blogger will not accept it. Secondly, I tried to do what I would do on a PC and I tried to printscreen my front page. After going through the trouble of opening a special "Grab" application, it turns out that this again is not in the desired format. In the end, I copied every element of my front page and pasted in into a PhotoShop document, and this did save in the right format. I'm happy that I found out how to make this work, but it's quite annoying to think that I will have to follow this procedure every time that I want to post my newspaper on Blogger.
The other problem I have found is that it is quite difficult to get the right kind of bold font to use, as in the font that is commonly used in newspapers. Although, this was easy to solve as I have encountered in before in AS Media when we were using the Macs. So to get around this problem, I just replicate the text that I want in bold and layer the two on top of each other but slightly overlapped, which gives it the bold effect.
